Gallery How-To

Just to let everyone know there's a new toy to play with.

You can make albums, upload hundreds of pics at a time if necessary... Please do.

A quick how to:

First you need to be logged in to the forum.

Start by creating an album:

Use the menu item "My Profile > Create / order my albums"

On the next screen, click the "New Album" button.

Give your album a name.

Now you can click the "Upload files" button to add files to the album.
It's the wee button just to the right of the album's name:

You'll see it like this:

Clicking it takes you to a screen like this one:

Click the "Browse" button and select one or more files from your computer.

You'll see a progress dialogue and previews of your files when uploaded.

Click the "Continue" button. You can then edit the details for the photos you've uploaded.

If you want to post an image from your Gallery into the forum, use the forum's "gallery_image" button.
Paste the URL from the image in between the

Code: Select all

[gallery_image] and [/gallery_image]

tags.

To get the URL for an image you can go into your album, click the "Display / hide file information" button when looking at the image in your album:

You can copy the image's URL from the info displayed.

Alternately you can always link to an entire album.

Go for it folks. The Gallery needs plenty of cool pics.

Oh - you can post comments on people's pics, and rate them too. To do so, when you are looking at the photo, mouse over the stars and click on a star to give that photo a rating.

Click on the club logo at top left to return to the forum.
