Here's a sneak peak at the 4th edition to the collection. It's a mechanical liability I found on Facebook. Details are few and far between, but all the plans I had for previous builds are now being "re-planned" in to this one, haha! The crunch you hear when my friend is reversing it on to the driveway is the turbo, if you're wondering.

Dang I almost picked that up when it was listed on TradeMe! How much did you end up snagging it for? The guy had accepted my offer of 2000 on text and then 15 minutes later tells me it sold. Here's what the original listing said, if you didn't see it:

Thanks for the info. I did see it. I think he wanted $3600 for it when I saw him on TradeMe. My friend checked it out and gave him 2800 the same night.

It's a gen 2 rev.2 hard top. The tail lights have had some kind of red tint sprayed on them, which is stupid annoying, but I'll probably poach them for my daily.

If everything in that list is legit, then I got a bit of a bargain. That said, the workmanship is horrible. The turbo was plumbed in with air hose for oil feeds with a restrictor for a ball bearing turbo, so it was being fed a tenth of the oil it should have had. As a result sprayed oil everywhere and the turbo let go (as per the video).

We're going to test the engine and have a look inside to check to see what work was done, then bolt a GT35 and my Link G4 Storm to it to see what it can do.

The body is rough though. Mismatched paint and panels everywhere. I'm just going to even it out and wrap it in company livery. It can be a cheap promotional tool.
