3S-GE vs 3S-GTE oil pumps

Question, purchased a oil pump assuming the 1991 3S-GTE pump be same as 1991 3S-GE oil pump

Alas, I notice the drive cog on new pump (3S-GTE made by engine tech) is different to the original Aisan pump (3S-GE)

Is there likely to be a issue here with pump volume and cambelt teeth? 177 Teeth 25mm wide

Or could I swap drive cog over?

I don’t see any issue with swapping cogs over unless you want higher flow rates. If so the 3sgte belt should work in place of the NA one. Would need to dig out old data but seem to recall it’s one tooth shorter.

The main issue would be the cam belt fitting.

As you've found out the 3S-GE is quite different to the 3SGTE. Make sure you buy parts specific to your engine. The 92-93 3SGTE is also not the same. And then there is USDM vs JDM years. Be careful of the years that are floating around the internet, most of the time it's confusing for our JDM stock so always check.
