Rear tie rods.

Post by Barark »

Anyone got any info on these? Toyota don't supply. The usual parts company's say no aftermarket version. I found them on matrix and twosrus. Before I fork out for overseas parts anyone found anything local?

Have you tried SAS?

Usually pretty good, I hear they have a 'MR2 specialist' out in the Shore i think (dont quote me on that).
Possibly bring them a sample.

I think he's looking for AW11. Not the same as SW20 I thought.

AW11 uses a ball joint like the front steering tie rod.

Where SW20 uses a spherical bearing in the knuckle for the outer rod to bolt to.

As far as I can tell there are 84-86 mk1a and 86-89mk1b and they seem to be different. I am looking for the mk1a ones, have messaged popey. I like the look and over engineering on the matrix garage ones, I messaged the ebay seller, but he said the fit all models so im not confidant in buying from him, and im hesitant to go stock because everyone hates them.
