MRS Headlights
Hi Guys,
Does anyone know where I can get new replacement headlight units for my 2000 MR-S.
My current ones are fading more and more, even though I've tried buffing them.
Only had the car a few months now but loving every second behind the wheel.
Will gladly appreciate any feedback.
Thanks

Re: MRS Headlights
I'm also interested to know if there is someone or someplace that sells headlights for the Spyder. (Like refurbished or aftermarket headlights)
I've got a crack in my right headlight and it's starting to leak when it rains.

You may need to order from Toyota, or second hand form Japan if you can’t find it here!MAD COW wrote:I'm also interested to know if there is someone or someplace that sells headlights for the Spyder. (Like refurbished or aftermarket headlights)

Re: MRS Headlights
I get most parts through these guys:
http://jp-carparts.com
You can specify if you want new or used parts.
Their parts are often cheaper than through Toyota NZ, even after GST and shipping.
Through here https://www.rhdjapan.com you can access yahoo Japan auctions.

Re: MRS Headlights
Not sure about replacements locally, you may find some on Twos R Us.
I know you tried buffing them but what were you buffing them with?
I have recently tried a product called CRC Headlight Doctor. I was skeptical but am surprised at how much better my headlights look. They are not perfect but significantly improved. Another attack and they should be almost new again. Admittedly my MR-s is a bit newer than yours.
Alternately There are plastic specialists that offer a headlight restoration service. They normally do plastic welding also. I know the guy in Paraparaumu does. I would suggest looking in the yellow pages for plastic welder or restoration specialists. Failing that try getting friendly with a panel beater or motorcycle shop and ask where they get plastic welding done.
Good luck,
Keith
