Why would a replacement engine "burn oil just like before"?
The oil burning in a Spyder is not a 1zz problem but a problem related to disintegrating pre-cats (and on early Spyders only).
I have a 1zz engine with 100k kms on it and it does not burn any oil.
I also have a 1zz with 140k kms on it and it does not burn any oil.
