Hi all. Recently purchased a MR-S and starting to go over it and look at adjustments and changes to keep in great shape for the future.
Waiting to be able to buy an O2 sensor socket to get into exhaust manifold to check for pre-cats. Fingers crossed they have already been removed already.
Also thinking about removing the catalytic converter and putting a resonator in. Has anyone got experience or recommendations on this, does it throw up any ecu faults, any recommendations on where to source a resonator.
Did see on the FB page someone selling a race exhaust for one of these and tempted, but unsure it would be neighbour friendly.
Any advice appreciated.

Re: Catylitic converter emissions
There should be no codes or any probs from removing the main cat on a JDM car.
I've had good experience with Adrenalin R resonators. Or, you can put in a high flow cat instead. Though, there's no real advantage to removing the main cat, unless it may have got partly blocked by disintegrating precats or burnt oil residue.
Race/open exhaust would be quite loud and may prove problematic at the WOF station.

Re: Catylitic converter emissions
Hi Psyguy. We found the pre-cats intact in the exhaust manifold and in good condition. Decided to remove the exhaust and get them out, so in the midst of that.
Judging by decent condition of pre-cat, assuming no issue with Cat Converter so going to leave intact for the moment.
Thanks for reply.
