Thanks Michael, it definitely was life saver. Unfortunately couldn't get the same result off the rears. Managed to get the Altezza SXE-10 rear ABS Sensors which should fit with a bit of fettling of the outer diameter.

Hi Tom, probably could but like Phil said, we're already at the limit and will have to play around with the wheel settings to make it work properly. The rears will be interesting

Thanks Phill, yep we'll have to get some expertise onto this. I'll approach the guys from Tremaine Tyres and see if they can come and check it out now to see if there's any other mods we need to make. I'll keep you guys updated

Re: Supercharged 2GR SW20 Project
Extended LCA's would help front track width, fill the arches out more while still retaining a usable amount of negative camber and keep the same scrub radius so you wouldn't have to worry about rub issueslasersooby wrote: ↑Fri Jan 07, 2022 9:49 pmThanks Phill, yep we'll have to get some expertise onto this. Re: Supercharged 2GR SW20 Project
Definitely an option. The main issue is the scrub radius. We have 18x9+25 with 20mm spacers so makes it +5 then we also have 225/40R18 which are already on the maximum size. So it's trying to fit something very big into a small space.

Re: Supercharged 2GR SW20 Project - Toyota OEM Power Steering Fluid
Most of the articles that I had read to this point was that Toyota had stopped selling the power steering fluid suitable for the MR2 and we had to use an alternative. I did not check with Manawatu Toyota but just assumed that we could not buy the OEM fluid. Lo and behold, Anthony Jordan from Rotorua rocked up to Toyota and purchased the fluid and shared that information over Facebook. So I asked Manawatu Toyota and they said sure mate, how many bottles of this fluid did I want
I bought a 1litre pack
and can get access to more if we needed more.
If you cannot get this OEM fluid, there is another product available made by Amsoil that even quotes this part number. This is the link for the product:

Re: Supercharged 2GR SW20 Project - Elate W2A Reservoir
Elate Manufacturing who developed the W2A intercooler for my application, also produced a Reservoir that helps with the bleeding of the system as well. Ordered the package and as usual, Travis was onto it real quick:

Re: Supercharged 2GR SW20 Project - Wilwood Handbrake Cables
Continuing to get a lot of the underbody stuff sorted which meant connecting the handbrake cables from Wilwood. Once we get the rear hubs sorted with the braking system, we can finally connect everything up:

Re: Supercharged 2GR SW20 Project - Fuel Pressure Regulator Assembly
Before I post pictures, I want to give big shout out to Alex Wilhelm for the guidance on this and supplying the parts plus information on the very hard to fit regulator (was not using enough muscle
). His page reference for this can be found here:
https://wilhelmraceworks.com/fuel-system
As you all know the MR2 fuel system is a "return type" system whereas the 2GR fuel system is a "return less system". After reading Alex's posts and the parts he offered, we went ahead and replicated his setup.
The OEM Fuel Filter had to have the tabs pushed flat on the outlet end to enable the fitment of the Radium Adapter.
The Bosch Pressure Regulator is a very tight fit and needs a bit of muscle power to push it through to locate in place then a circlip is used to hold it in place.

Re: Supercharged 2GR SW20 Project - Fuel Filter & Regulator Installation
Installed the completed unit into the car and connected the fuel lines from the tank to the filter and the return to the tank
Filter & regulator mounted in OEM location: Removed the OEM fuel line return tree (partial): Had to cut the return fuel line from the tank so that we could fit the special AN fitting (really clever fitting) supplied to align with the supplied fuel line from Alex: Bought a small tube cutter from Mitre 10 for this job, pretty nifty piece of kit to get into tight spaces: Fuel line cut and fitting installed: Fuel return line connected up: Main fuel line connected to the fuel filter: Have to get a fuel pressure sensor to install and the fuel line from the radium fitting to the engine which will happen once we have the engine in place

Re: Supercharged 2GR SW20 Project - Bosch W2A Intercooler Pump Setup
We are running a w2a front munt intercooler with a Bosch Pump to circulate the coolant around the system.
The challenge was to mount the pump in such a way that it looked OEM. We had a spare fuel filter holder and the mounting bracket to the chassis which made an ideal option: We had to modify the fuel filter holder so that we could the pump sitting vertical. Grant did an awesome job of modifying both brackets: The mounting bracket was modified also so that when the pump was installed, it was sitting upright in the vertical position, we also had to slot the holes so that we could use the original mounting points (lower mounting point for the AC Drier and the lower mounting for the tiedown hook): Removed the rubber mounts from the airbox that was on the parts car, this will help reduce vibration when the pump is running: Mocking up the mounting bracket and pump to see what other mods we have to make: Had to modify the Front Fender Apron Seal so that the inlet and outlet of the pump can be accessed and also the modification allows the pump to be installed properly: All sorted and in place, looks very OEM:

Re: Supercharged 2GR SW20 Project - Rear Bumper Upper Centre Retainer
A small job of getting the rear bumper upper center retainer installed, small but another job crossed off the "to do list"
Removed all the old coting then re-painted with high heat paint (spray can), the flat black came out nice and the installation was pretty easy once the correct clips were sorted:
