I know of recent stolen claims with Swann that definitely paid the full amount of the agreed value

I think Al is referencing 'Classic Cover' insurance company, rather than Swann guys.

Check out Classic Cover's terms:
LIMITS ON WHAT WE WILL PAY FOR:
Sum insured – agreed value
The maximum amount we will pay will be the agreed value shown on the schedule unless it is found to be more than 20% above the market value, in which case we will only pay the market value. If your vehicle is 26 years old or older and it is insured for an agreed value as shown on the schedule the maximum amount we will pay will be the agreed value.

Yes I specifically mentioned Classic Cover. Not Swann.

I'm not seeing the problem? Cars over 26yo. And has agreed value.

The issue is the 20% over market value clause. So if you had your AW insured for 10k for example but they deem the market value is say 7k they will only pay you the 7.

That doesn't appear to be the case, as the 26 year old statement appears to override the 20% above market value statement.

That is also how I read it.

Just reread the clause for 26YO+. You're right! :D Just a watch out for the younger SW20s then...
