Childs Seat in an AW11
Anyone fitted a child seat into an AW11 before?
Or is that a foolish idea..

How else is the kid gonna get into MR2s?
It's not a bad idea if you drive respectfully. You can't bubble wrap everything, at least you're using a booster seat.

Re: Childs Seat in an AW11
Isaac rode shotgun with me on many runs, sitting in a kiddie seat in the AW. Today he can drive an AW just as fast as I can I reckon. So yeah, if you want your kid to grow up an able and confident driver, do it! Get them into G forces as early as possible. Definitely.
I'm guessing you're talking about your old man's AW Joel? Lovely wee beast. Sure would be nice to see you on a run again mate.

100+ MR2OCNZ runs and counting... When going hard, good rubber's your best protection against unwanted accidents. Buy good tyres!

Yeah Charlie, got Dads car to use.
Will just be very sedate cruising to car shows, def no spirited driving with a 2 year old!
Was just curious how difficult it was to fit a rear facing seat (I haven't tried yet, and there was nothing in the owners manual ha)
Will give it a go

Rear facing... dunno.
Front facing when they are a little bigger, sure.
Most crashes in an MR2 are travelling backwards anyway aren't they?

Re: Childs Seat in an AW11
usually rear facing seats need the strap that goes from the back of the child seat, forwards to attach to the front seat rail, which stops the top of the seat being able to flop around laterally or tilt toward the rear of the car; I don't think I'd want to run a rear facing seat in an MR2.

Before getting too involved... Has this been run past Mom? I'm not allowed to take either boy in either MR2!
