3S-GE 1991 Head Gasket/Cylinder Head comparison

Hi all....have done some thorough research, including via Toyota

1/ apparently Genuine Head Gaskets for 3S-GE are no longer available

2/ are 3S-GE Head gaskets the same as 3S-GTE of same year?

3/ Repco want $905 for a VRS kit Permaseal brand...has anyone sourced other options of reliable quality (ACL Dont do a kit)

Do you still have the old 3SGE gasket? It might be possible to compare it to photos of a 3SGTE gasket. I suspect they are going to be very similar with the coolant and oil passages for a GEN2 GE-GEN2 GTE engine. Just don't use a BEAMS gasket for an Altezza/GEN5 Blacktop as they are built very different due to the way the coolant flow changed and the VVTi is fed oil.

In the very worse scenario, cometic and probably others can make custom gaskets. I agree with carefully eyeballing it.
