Workshop in Dunedin

Post by lasersooby »

Hi Team,

My daughter is at Otago Uni and we bought her a 2014 Honda Fit Hybrid which is coming up for a service and WOF etc., think in October.

I am wanting to know if you guys would recommend someone that you have used that I can guide her to get the car serviced at the same time as getting the WOF renewed.

If I do not get any suggestions then I will most likely end up getting her to visit the Honda dealer.

Take care and stay safe and thanks very much in advance

My family used Tikeys Workshop in Mosgiel a lot, it used to be under another name when we first started going there in the 80s. Always helpful. There is a branch in Green Island too. Took the MR2 there for WOFs, they helped me figure out my handbrake cable issue.

Thanks Phil and Olaf. My daughter is in Chambers Street in North Valley, I have no idea which one is closer but will let her know of the two options.

Thanks guys, appreciate this very much.

I can get recommendations from friends of my family if needed, as I think both our options are a bit out of the way, would be nice to have something close to home, just let me know

Dunedin is so small it take 5mins to travel across the city. But yes, my option is out of the city so a bit far away from North East Valley. Damn that place is cold!

LOL, he daughter was here over the weekend for the wife's 50th birthday celebrations and she was saying how warm Palmy was compared to Dunnas. She was happy though that her Hybrid started first time every time she got somewhere.

They have had a few minus temperatures there but she reckons that if it is like 15C, it is pretty warm there compared to Palmy. We have told her she is nits :D

My cousin is in shorts year around down there. And I'm in jeans most of Summer in Levin/Kapiti when we're in high 20s or low 30s. Weakling

Must be pretty strong down there alright. we were amazed with the daughter as she is like 4' 10" in height and weighs like 42kgs, a scrawny little thing but she enjoys the weather down in Dunedin better than Palmy.

Before anyone starts off, yes we know about Palmy being windy etc more so than Wellington :D :D :D :D

Thanks again guys for all the feedback.

Bahaha. I lived there for 20 years. Yeah, it's colder but it's also hotter, in Mosgiel at least. -6°c to +18°c in one day middle of winter! 30°c+ quite often in summer. Wellington is weak sauce compared, damn humidity! What wind? You should see the Porirua inlet, regularly mirror flat!
