Is this a viable option?
I have considered doing this before, but due to not finding anyone else had done it, and that the metal front of the rear glovebox/sub box looked fairly permanent, I left it alone.
Could it be easily pulled/cut out?

Re: Sub boxes
Can cut a hole in it for mounting sub but believe rail is part of the cross brace/ floor structure.

Re: Sub boxes
There are a few ways of doing it. I did it this way as then there is a shelf behind the seat on top.

Re: Sub boxes
Not sure how I failed to say it in the initial post, but my reasoning for the shown method was to install a sub there without losing a place for the t-top glass.

I've done it with 2x 8" drivers, set up in such a way that it is no taller than the standard boxes behind the seats. Targas sit nicely on top too.
