Google. 'How to assemble MR2 Turbo CVs' Not that they are different to most CV joints.

I'm guessing not with a 4A though? (Or at least only the short side?) As S54 axles have a 2 piece aileron the long side and the AW11 long one is 1 piece?

Rebuild of the CVs didn't go so well. Supercheap gave me the wrong outer boot. Unfortunately I discovered this after cleaning both joints, adding the boots to the shaft, assembling the inner CV, greasing up both joints, installing the inner boot, installing the outer bo..... F@#k!!
So I'll be taking Supercheap back the greasy wrong boot this week! (I know I should have checked it first)

Managed to at least regrease and change the inner stub then paint the short side and the half shaft.

S54 is 1 piece left AND right. Am I missing something here?

You just made me crawl under my car in the garage. But okay, perhaps you are right! I thought it was the same as the turbo for some reason. Sorry.

All good. Only the high performance 80s/90s cars got equal length axles. Same goes for the 4AGZE AE101 Corolla or similar.

Okay, input seal replaced so today's job was to rebuild.

What's a pain. I'll try not to do this again! (I'm sure it's fine with the right tools)

I see that you masked off the input shaft spline but not the thrust bearing bush slidey thing.....

Just had a thought about the gearbox oil cooler too if you want to get it mounted and working, hose clips will hold any flexi lines in place as there isn't any pressure from the pump, unlike an engine oil cooler..
See ya

You are right. But I did scuff the paint off with some scotchbrite pad and add a little grease and make sure the bearing slid nicely on there before assembly :D

Again right about the oil lines. But I have nice braided AN lines for everything else I thought I'd keep the look. Anyway I just need to get this guy running now so I can start on the other car. And will do little jobs like that after its tuned and back on the road :D :D
