which engine do i have in my aw11?

hey guys, im new here, im 18 yrs old from dunedin...just bought a 1986 aw11 n/a in metallic blue/purple,

my rocker covers been replaced with a nice polished one, so how do i find out which engine i have, redtop or bluetop? i hear bluetop is better for the reason being...?

Standard aw11 is large port TVIS only. Early's had "bluetop" 3 ribs on the block. Later models (around late 86 was the change over) they went to "red/black top" 7 ribs on the block, larger bearing sizes etc.
