With wiring:
This is my cigarette lighter bulb, thinking to splice into this as it only illuminates when headlights are on.
Green would be earth in this photo?
The black and white power?
the wires in back of boost gauge are red for power and black for earth.

Re: Boost Gauge Install
I think you are correct, so confusing when google tells me earth is green, but asked another car page as well and got the same answer, green power, black/white earth.

Re: Boost Gauge Install
Green is the illumination circuit for a lot of the car. The USDM wiring diagrams I have uses orange w/red as the earth but seems completely different for the JDM cars.

Re: Boost Gauge Install
Success, BNT came through with some hose.
My wiring seems to work, gauge lights up as it should, although very bright.
Started car up and its reading on the negative on the gauge, far to wet to go for a drive so will have to wait and see what it reads under boost.

Re: Boost Gauge Install
Reading negative is normal as the engine always pulls vacuum at idle and low load throttle. You won't see boost until you load the engine driving it. Revving it at a stand still won't show much boost either.

Re: Boost Gauge Install
If she’s healthy and the t/vsv is operational you should see ~11psi of boost. Official number is 11.8psi.
If the t/vsv is closed or deactivated you will see wastegate spring pressure of 7-8psi.

Went for a quick burn, showing probably peak of 8.5-9psi.
