Took car for a drive over the weekend and alternator is steady as a rock. Engine seems to be running better as well which is probably due to repair of split vacuum line. Thought I’d throw the laptop on the passengers seat so I could auto tune and datalog. Bugger me as my wideband O2 packed up and threw an error code, investigation into upgrading the Bosch sensor from a 4.2 to 4.9 version. Seems the older type sensor isn’t as accurate and prone to fail if it has thermal shock. Guessing with my alternator diagnosis I ran car numerous times for s short interval may have caused the O2 fail. Thought I was done turning wrench’s.
