Wheel Inspo

Post by 4CylinderSpecial »

I'm trying to figure out what would look really good on a SW20. Been very happy with my Sparco NSII wheels as they fit the car well but wondering what else is out there as they need a refurb. Might even make them a lighter colour (a nice aluminium colour for example).

Thinking some nice phat 5 spoke wheels would look really nice. Anyway if anyone can think of cool wheels and fitments that would be sweeet.

What's your budget? New, used? Any wheels in particular you do like so we could suggest similar types?

There are the Work Meister S1R that you can get new in 17" with a few width and offset sizes. The S1 2P seems to be only 15" and the S1 3P is 18" and 19" only.

I think NST sell WORK.

Good point to make. Happy to look at new and used but would rather not have to refurb used wheels if possible. I like Regas, Work S1R (You beat me to it), Work Equip 05. Those kind of styles. I would say probably $1000-$2500 budget max.

I think those are cool looking wheels. If you like them enough still a new colour can make a nice change. Powdercoating would cost you around $600. And they have quite a range of colours, pretty tough coating. http://www.procoat.co.nz/ Tim does all my stuff. They do a great job and good prices.

Yeah I think I might actually go that route. I do like the wheels but they would need some curbing fixed that I never really sorted when I painted them the first time. Thoughts on a lighter colour of the same wheel? I think dark might just work better.

Work Equips or Blitz Technospeed Z1 are my all time favourite SW20 wheels.

I'm pretty sold on RPF01s. Looking around and I can get it for around 480ish per wheel. Which isn't so bad and my mr2 will look like the first picture which is really nice.

Is that a combination of the RPF1 and RP01?

LOL! Sorry RPF1. Fortunately I already have the right tyres for them, just need to save up a bit. I've learnt over time now that it's better to buy high quality the first time.
