Dash warning lights

Post by Crawls »

Hey everyone, I am trying to figure out a dash light on my 90 MR2. It is a green light that has "A/D" on it. I have no idea what it is, or whether it should have a bulb in it. The car is a NA Auto. Any ideas?

It appears it's part of the cruise control (auto drive) system. Indicates it is active or an error has occurred. Just looking through my Japanese service manual and that's what it says.

Well that's no use to anyone haha.

Has it always been on since you've owned the car? Has it had the gauge cluster swapped for another one?

Well the bulb was blown since I got the car. I am changing all the bulbs to LEDs and found it was blown. Same as the engine fan one in the pic. That pic just has daylight going through it haha. Had all but 5 blown.

Don't know if cluster has been replaced. But I suppose it is possible.

If it doesn't have Cruise Control then nothing to worry about. Just put the bulb socket back in place without a bulb or LED and leave it at that.

Haven't replaced them before since I don't have an auto SW. Should be T5 though since T10 is normally only for background light in dash clusters.

Looks like it from this:

They are a NEO fitting but I can't be sure what number. 3, 4 or 5.

Were they sold new without the bulbs if Cruise Control was not installed, or even without the bulb holder too?
