Hey guys,
Well here I am again - this time, now that I've compiled the list of all the work I need to do I guess the car decided I needed one more.
I untangled a twisted part of the passenger's side seatbelt that's been twisted since I bought it, and suddenly it won't retract or pull further out no matter how much I mess with it.
It was working fine right up until now. I'm wondering if I accidentally damaged something internal, maybe, though I wasn't being particularly rough or anything.

Could try Silicone and do your best with it, try feed it back in then pull out. Otherwise replacement time.

Yeah it's really not budging. After some more in depth googling, it seems like it's something that could maybe be rectified but you have to get right into the mechanism to do so. Some little locking thing that jams up. A bit beyond me

I mucked around with the internal workings of my seatbelt and it stopped holding itself unless under extreme load - heavy braking etc would mean the poor passenger still fell forward, so be careful if you do. Replacement would be best, $50 for a new belt from a wrecker if that and 3 bolts, will need to undo a bit of interior to get to the base

Yeah I think that’s what I’ll do. I definitely don’t feel like I want to mess with safety features even on a good day - thanks for the caution
