Tachometer calibration

Post by GlanzaAtHeart »

Hey everyone,

Today I replaced my capacitors in my rev gauge (Finally) and installed one of those in dash boost gauges.

However, I took the needle off the rev gauge, now that I've put it back on, it sits at like 2k rpm when the car is on, but no engine running, about 3k when idling, so about 2000rpm too high.

How do I calibrate it?

Cheers,
Thomas

Haha. I done the same thing. Turn car off and lower needle to 0rpm. Then when you start it again it should be fine

A useful thing for V6 and GEN4 3SGE and 3SGTE but it shows that with the ignition set to ON and the engine off, the tacho will default to 0. So you can pull the needle off and place it at 0 then it should work properly.

Go to 18:25 and it shows just this.
