Hi there. Does anyone know if the bilstein shocks in the mr2 can be changed to the standard non bilstein shocks ( serviceable) the ones where you can change the cartridges? Thanks

The Bilstien struts have a welded cap to hold the shock where the insert type has a thread. You would need to thread the Bilstein body so you are better off finding some old housings to use if you are going to Koni or similar inserts.

Yes they are a direct replacement. Once you have found some original OEM serviceable shock absorbers they can be simply fitted into place once you remove the Bilsteins.
