Hey Gaz,

Are you running a stock head and internals? Any cams, head porting, or forged internals? Also when you say Hybrid CT20b - Do you mean a billet compressor wheel? What kind of kW did you make at what PSI?

This will give us a bit more information into what numbers you should be hitting.

But this setup on a Gen 3 3SGTE made 330whp with the same mods minus the hybrid turbo, but with forged internals. And being a gen 3, that would be similar performance figures to what you'd be hitting.

yes stock head and intrnals non of the other mentioned the turbo was upgraded to produce 310 hp at the wheels
they said all they could get was 250rwhp because it gets to hot in the engine bay.

People are making more than that with stock ECUs. 250whp is a bit low. You're not blowing any smoke or anything? Compression is okay?

Jabeo here on the forums has an upgraded CT20b from ATS Racing. He made 192kw (257whp) on the dyno with a stock gen 2. No fuel mods, no tuned ECU, but also an intercooler upgrade.

What is your intercooler upgrade? The standard eBay GReddy style? Have you done the pipes too?

250whp is ridiculous. What kind of psi are you boosting too?

When they say it gets too hot in the engine bay - Do they mean the coolant, or the ambient temperature in the engine bay?

Weird. SW20s do run warm. But shouldn't be that much of an issue.

It's hard to say if anything is wrong, obviously haven't seen your car - but if there were no issues, ambient engine bay temp shouldn't be an issue.

This may be a go. Highly reccomend them.

yr thought the same or every one would be in the same boat regarding heat
maybe just crap at tuning it took them 4 weeks to do the job when they had said 3days.

You don’t mention exhaust mods or AFR values when tuning. This can lead to excessive heat in engine bay which may be cause for concern.

Factory exhaust really restricts power. The join of the B pipe to muffler is 2" which is smaller than the smallest part of a non turbo exhaust. If anything the B pipe should be upgraded and then the muffler setup changed second.

With an aftermarket ECU and the tuner at liberty to add power, they will have reasons for not pushing it harder.
What fuel are you running it on?
