Sw20 NRG short hub help installing

Post by Casual »

Hey guys I have a 92’ jdm mr2 G limited which came with a momo steering wheel, I wanted to add a aftermarket wheel disconnect kit but the kit cannot fit with the slip ring, not too sure how to make the horn function without breaking anything else, any help will be great (it’s the NRG hub), my main issue is I’m unsure of what the 3 connectors at the bottom do and whether i should modify the clockspring or bypass it completely. The 3 'connectors' at the bottom are the steering position sensor. Nothing to do with the horn.

I thought it still grounds the horn as once disconnected the horn stops working? I must be missing something, maybe I'm just stupid. It also helps if the boss kit can grab onto it as it doubles as how your indicators know when to cancel.

If you're doing the wheel disconnect kit for security, I'd recommend getting a decent alarm and maybe even tracking as well, as the car can still be removed off site without the ability to steer. From experience...
