OK The car uses some oil but I am ready and have heard all the arguments for a Motor change and about 1ZEs being crap and if I hear change it for a 2ZE again ill slap some bastard. All I want to know is what grade of oil am I supposed to put in a standard 1999 Spyder.
Someone said 10w40 is the thickest I should go .
Anyone know whats correct

The first number is the cold viscosity which I am sure you know Mike so once the oil is hot you would want a thicker second number. However the 1ZZ (Not ZE) has problems with oil burning no mater what you do. Even getting the new designed pistons doesn't really work.
Best thing to do is drop a 2ZZ into it. More power, more revs, more fun. The engine the MR-S should have come with.
