Takes me less than a day to do a straight swap. A weekend to do a 2ZZ.

Cheapest way, do it yourself with help from others. Research what you need, gather all the parts, then set to work. You'll learn so much and be proud of what you achieved!

Fair enough. The major part is getting the old engine and gearbox out and putting in the new one. Can be done easily in one day outside if you have all the parts prepared. Then once it is in you can work away at it to get the rest hooked up and in place.

Either way, you need to source all your parts for someone to do the swap and if you don't it will cost you a lot of time and money for them to do it. It's a common enough swap for all the info to be out there and parts available for it.

Yes Essdub would be a good candidate to do so but unfortunately he's not in NZ any longer.
I'd help if I was in Auckland. Something new to learn!
