MRS TRANSMISSION
Hello,
I think I have stuffed my transmission. I was driving and heard this weird noise. I thought it was my engine so I put some oil in. The noise continued so I checked the tyres, they were also fine. I carried on driving then heard this weird noise and then my car slowly stopped and I couldn't put my car into first gear or reverse. I then drove it home in second gear. Once I am home I can put it into first and reverse?
Help? Can someone help me out? I'm wondering if I need to get a new transmission or a new car?
Thanks

Re: MRS TRANSMISSION
Gearbox Factory were good to me. They have a couple of branches.
Had a gearbox rebuild done with them, so you could try them for a diagnosis if you can get the car there

Re: MRS TRANSMISSION
PM's stay in the outbox until the recipient opens it. Can you guys please explain to me the problem, as I am unaware of a problem with the PM system. But if there is actually a problem I'd like to know what it is so I can fix it. Thanks.
On another note, I hope Ginny gets her gearbox. Cos that's what this club is about. Helping each other out.

Ah, cool, didn't know that the PM system works that way, thanks for clearing that up. And thanks for the good wishes re: Ginny's gearboxmickeyduck wrote:PM's stay in the outbox until the recipient opens it. Speaking of which... GOOD NEWS... we found a C60 for reasonable $
Now I'm just trying to get hold of EssDub for a shift shaft and reverse gear lock-out...

Re: MRS TRANSMISSION
Thanks heaps Joe for your very generous offer - unfortunately by the time we caught up with each other, Gin and I had already put a deposit on another boxGinny'sRedRacer wrote:Yes I still have the gearbox!Moksi wrote:I had another one at my garage, but no LSD , run about 30k kms let me know if you interested!
However, our friend who bought a black 99 after driving ours is going to race his a bit, so I'd be very surprised if he doesn't want it...
