Are you giving us more "facts"?

Why would a replacement engine "burn oil just like before"?

The oil burning in a Spyder is not a 1zz problem but a problem related to disintegrating pre-cats (and on early Spyders only).
I have a 1zz engine with 100k kms on it and it does not burn any oil.
I also have a 1zz with 140k kms on it and it does not burn any oil.

Ah, i see, you are a Google mechanic.

Try working on them for 6 or 7 years and learning about them first hand, then seeing what works and what doesn't.
