Have you got a link?

Who quoted you that for the shipping?

BTW, let's not forget 15%GST on top of the total price...

I reckon a few of us should get together to share the cost of shipping. Hardtops stack up nicely onto each other and are not very heavy so the shipping cost should drop nicely if we were to get 3-4 tops. Japan's got the best prices but the UK is also OK.
There's a guy in the UK that I know from another forum that I believe would be happy to help us.
Would anyone be interested?

Mike, would this be a door-to-door service?
What about the packaging, who would do that? The seller?

I've got news from the UK guy (Lewis Winpenny):

Thankfully I finally got a quote this morning so the prices for shipping in Pounds sterling are:

Air freight to your door (7-10 days) £3950 (7415 NZD)

Sea freight to agents warehouse (10-12weeks) £3150 (5833 NZD)

Sea freight to your door (10-12 weeks) £3325 (6157 NZD)

That doesn’t include the cost of the hardtops themselves but that cost is for 4 hardtops shipped.

Tops typically range between £500-£650 (925 -1200 NZD) with the full fitting kit

I have black and pre facelift 1d0 silver in stock at present but I can source any other U.K. Toyota colour for you.
(End quote)

What do you all say?

Air freight with GST we would be looking at 3500 each after buying 4, plus local shipping. That is more than I am willing to pay for a hardtop, cheers.
