That's very impressive power you are making. How much better is it compared to low boost and baseline tune?
Must truely drive like white lightning now :D

Compared to the base tune and running on spring pressure only (6-9psi), the most noticeable difference is at the top end - now that the water/meth and fueling is dialed in and the boost controller was optimised. It's kind difficult to really open it up on regular roads, things happen too fast... need to take it to Hampton's soon 8)

BTW, apparently, there's an electronic speed cut at 220kmph (according to the roller dyno run in 6th gear).

Well... scored some plastics and now, where there was nothing, there's a tidy looking storage compartment :D

Apparently, these were optional parts by Toyota... :?

Faster than McQueen running them red lights
Faster than the duke boys jumping that hillside
Faster than Elvis could shake, rattle, roll
Faster than a skirt flying up on Monroe, I said

Ooh, I saw white lightning

Had a first track day after the tune, at Hamptons. It was rather wet and slippery so couldn't quite floor it but was still a good test run, and a very good practice in modulating throttle input.

Firstly, the TIRES:

... I see you have put on AD08r in the back as well now. How's the grip in colder conditions.
Let's say I was surprised by the lack of grip at first... but as the day went on and the tires (and the track itself, I assume) got warmer the grip improved. And I got used to the tires so was more confident. By the third session I'd say the tires held up quite well (it was still properly wet).
Not sure how this translates to the road use, Kevin...

OIL TEMPS held at aprox 105C, which is a lot better than the 120+ I was getting at Manfield. So, the larger oil cooler (10 rows vs 7 rows) must be doing something. Though the ambient temp was around 15C and Manfield was more like 30C. Need to compare temps on a hot day.

EGTs still climbed to 900C. (800C max on fast road). My tuner reckons that's not too bad and I should not worry. OK.

AFRs are where they need to be but I reckon the limitations of the piggyback show when you look at a finer detail - or maybe this is the limitation of AFR gauge sampling/recording. Posting a pic below if anyone would care to comment.

WATER/METH injection has been doing the job just fine (remember, no intercooler) however, I've used up about 1.3 litres per 15min session, which means given the container capacity is about 4 litres, I need to carry a jerrycan when attending a track day. No prob.
Cross country touring? Not sure about that one. Use demineralized water when I run out of meth, or stay below 5psi boost where no meth is needed? Dunno.

AERO
Didn't get to go any faster than about 180kmph (wasn't confident in the wet) but on a couple of occasions wished the car stayed a bit more solidly planted. Have to test on a dry day.

BRAKES
EBC yellows performed really well. Factory calipers. Slotted/drilled rotors. I expect the same performance in the dry, but let's see.
