In other good news, I made a rear diffuser, out of aluminium. At higher speeds you can hear a change of wind noise from what was a sort of rumble to more of a higher pitch "woosh". So, it appears to be functional

Forgot to mention, TIRE PRESSURES:
Starting pressures:
Front 24 psi, rear 30 psi, cold (overnight)
After 3rd session:
FL26.5
FR27.5
RL32
RR34
Have to play with tire pressures/temps a bit more. Need to buy pyrometer.

A TPMS shows tyre pressure and temps real time. Can set alarms (low & high) for each parameter. I have noticed on track runs the RH temps and this pressures rise due to the predominant LH turns.
Brakes have an influence as well and a place like VTNZ can measure each wheel braking on rollers for balanced operation. This is used for WOF tests but can be helpful in determining issues with bias or potential caliper/pad problems. Charlie has done some work in this area and might offer some info.

That's a cool gizmo, wasn't aware of the retro-fit variant.
But I'm mainly interested in the tread surface temps in various sections, so to set the camber as well as optimal tire pressure, for best grip.
Hamptons is a clockwise track, so there's more RH turns. I attributed the higher RH tire temps to the driver's added weight on the RH. Unless I'm missing something

Aye, normally you end up with the outside tyres doing more work so the LH tyres so I would have assumed the LH tyres would also build up more heat energy....

That’s the way I would interpret increased tyre temps. My SW20 outside front tyre seems to catch most of the abuse. May be a little different on the Spyder due to better weight distribution and a lighter unsprung mass.

The outside tires working harder and building more heat makes sense and that's what I expected but not what the readings tell me
Unless I made an error in recordings, which is entirely possible ha ha

For some reason I thought it might be the 2zz you had. The engine I am swapping into the aw11 has a c/r of 12-1. I was planing on a little boost as well and just trying to get my head around High c/r and boost.

From what I understand, higher comp / lower boost gives better responsiveness than lower comp / higher boost. Good ECUs are capable of managing boost on high comp cylinders. But talk to Brian at NDT Developments, he's tuned my car.

Bought some wheel spacers, as a trial, as I had some doubts. But they seem really good
Forged alu, just 5mm thick BUT hubcentric - 54mm for the hub and 73mm for the wheels.
If anyone needs spacers to clear brake or suspension components or is just chasing that perfect wheel fitment these are good spacers, they come in 3,5,8,10mm etc. thickness and various PCDs and have the all important lip to sit correctly on the hubs and the wheels on them.
May need longer studs.

Yeah I've used a few of these and even the bolt on ones with no issues. The stud length is the key though. My cert guy said (I think) 9 turns on the wheel nut as a minimum?

I did say "I think?" I guess I just over compensate now! Haha.
The interesting thing was I failed my cert on that (wasn't what I went for the cert for....) with factory studs and after market wheels. If I didn't get a cert it would still be getting WOFs like that!
