As long as you put it in the right place along the sills it will be fine, the 'tabbed' bits are where the other structural members are joined to the sills, as opposed to the middle of the door for instance where there is nothing else supporting the sill.ClanFever wrote:Most certainly! EDIT: Oh right I get what you mean by sills, but I thought those were a no no except to scissor jacks as they bend? Am I okay doing them with axle stands for long periods of time for the front and back?
As far as aircon goes it should be fairly straight forward. I got the condenser out with the bumper on the car (the big panel infront of the radiator) so it should be a breeze to take out with the bumper off. All the lines that run underneath the car are just above the plastic panels, so fairly easy to remove with a bit of time. Just follow the lines around the car and unbolt their mounts and anything they attach to. The accumulator should be under the passengers side headlight. and just unbolt the pipes from the bulk head. If you want to get really extreme you could pull the a/c stuff out of the heater, but if you dont know what you are doing its probably easier to just go do some exercise before driving to save the same amount of weight.
