Yeah it is a little odd, although from memory this is the shortest lead so looking at it from an ohm/mm perspective it doesn't seem too out of the ballpark.

I'm still not sure about the lower compression either. As you say I will be throwing new plugs in and see how it goes. If it goes ok I'll leave it and investigate further if I want to get more serious with the engine.
