So i guess ill start from the start

I LOVE mr2s, they are great little sports cars and as fun as go-karts. Everyone should own or have driven one at least once in their lifetime.

Here is a pic of my 1992 Gen2 GTS. It has done at this point 225xxx kms, got it for a relatively good price and is completely stock.

After purchasing this car, shabby paint and all. I adored it. It ran like a dream and i had future plans.
I then ventured out and purchased a few minor accessories

Gen 3 Tailights

Cusco Strut Braces

Carbon Fibre GT Wing

Now the Gen 3 lights and Strut braces went on as soon as i got them home. I couldn't resist installing them.

After putting them on. I liked the look without the Gen3 Center Panel. So thats how it was going to stay.
Gen3 lights with Gen2 Center panel in my opinion looks rather aggressive, slightly different, and very uncommon.

After a few months, saved up some money. Then decided. Time for a respray!

I didnt want to stay with red. Red is too common. Everyone has a Red MR2.
I wanted to go with something subtle, something different.

I chose to go with a Grey/Silver. Its technical name is 'Anthracite'
I got my car painted at a place in Onehunga called 0800 BESTDEAL for a special price

I removed the stock spoiler so they could weld up all the old holes from the old spoiler and i could install my new Carbon Fibre GTWing

Now when i took it in for the spray, i removed my tail lights specially so they wouldn't get damaged
(we all know how hard Gen3 lights are to get your hands on)

The respray took around a week and i got her back looking immaculate
Gave her a wash, installed the spoiler, attached my Gen3 lights and took her for a spin.

After saving up some more, i wanted to get rid of my stock rims and go for something a little more flash. Something to remove the gap my cat could sleep in.

This is a set of Sparco Racing rims i tried on
I cant remember the exact size, i just know they were 17s. The inside tyre wall rubbed on the inside of my guard.

I finally came across the perfect wheel.

Yokohama Advan RG Racing
Stud : 5x114.3
Size : Staggered 17x7.5'' Front & 8.5'' Rear
Offset : +28 Front +37 Rear

These fit nice, gave me a staggered setup, and looked really good against the paint colour i have.

Ive taken it to many events looking like it does at the moment and have had many different photographers take photos.
I guess you could say, it is one well known two, which i like.
