Good on you for wanting to be unique. Your car stands out and I like the look of it. The colour, the GT wing and the Advan RG wheels look great. I am a big fan of the RGII wheels in gold. I'd love some for my car but they aren't cheap. Although white would probably go better with my red MR2.

So i haven't updated this in some time and over the last few months i have been doing some shopping.


--Exhaust--

I've nabbed this exhaust from a fellow MR2 owner in Timaru, it has a Coby resonator on it as well as the main muffler made by JASMA.
It has apparently come off of a Performance Racing MR2 so should give me the sound and make the car a bit quicker.

3'' from the Turbo with a 4.5'' tip

--Seats--

Ive popped in some Bride Reclineables into my MR2, These seats are very good and have very stiff sides.
When going around corners you don't have to think about holding yourself in the seats, you can just control the car and focus directly on what the car is doing and where its going.
After driving in bucket seats for just over a month and zipping to Piha and back many times i can definitely recommend bucket seats for the two
Saying that i do miss my stock seats, oh so comfy

--Quick Release--

Went and bought a Quick release from a friend of mine that was parting out/selling his race car
Its a D1 Spec quick release. I only ever use it if i park somewhere dodgy which i don't trust.

Ardmore Showdown Wheels vs Wings 2015

I entered in the Ardmore Showdown. If anyone's interested its sort of a Show&Shine/Drag/Gymkhana sort of setup on one of the Ardmore Runways. The runway is very coarse and rips through tyres very quickly. It was a good day out but i dont think ill do it again unless i enter just the Show&Shine. I like my tyres with tread

Toyota Festival 2015

I decided to take the 2 for a hoon around Hampton Downs Raceway with a few of our fellow club members.

The day was a blast! I had such a good time and so very keen to do it again. I threw the Mr2 around the track and took it for a spin on the skidpan.
The track is a very brake intensive track and definitely tested out the Mr2 tyres. I had never driven on this track before and spun out on the first lap going round the off cambered corner just past the pits. 120 ish wasnt a good speed to enter it... :/ I remember turning round and as i straightened her out, Mark comes flying past beeping and waving rubbing in the classic fail i had just done. But as karma kicked in, a couple of laps later i watched in my rear vision mirror as Mark fishtailed exiting a corner and ended up on the grass which made for some great laughs in the pits afterwards.

Thanks to Mark (White SW20), Christian (Blue SC AW11), Simon (Red AW11) and Kris (Black & Yellow AW11) who made the day a blast. Also the others who turned up to support us and came to say hello

I went through a Teeth phase...

The Teeth were made out of corflute and i have electrical tape over the headlights

--Motor--

So I bought myself a forged motor from a friend of mine, run in and done just over 5000kms.

The thing was a bit dirty and needed some TLC.

Specs

Freshly rebuilt forged Gen 2 complete longblock balanced to run 8000rpm easily
Eagle rods
JP Pistons
Thick metal headgasket
Heavy valve springs
All new seals, bearings, rings etc
Stock cams
9.0-1 compression

First thing i did was degrease the motor, clean it up, sand and paint the rocker cover.
