Heya guys,
I'm the proud owner of possibly the highest mileage SW20 in the country (Could be wrong)
I bought her on the 1st of January this year, at first the mileage did put me off; but it really doesn't show. It's tidy inside and out. Look forward to hopefully meeting some of you on future club runs
Watch this space.. Gonna be an interesting month

Re: Alex's SW20
What have you got planned for it? It does have quite a lot of mileage on it for an SW20.

Re: Alex's SW20
It's getting a 2GR-FE! Amongst other, smaller things.
Hopefully by August it'll have new wheels and tyres and by the end of the year the suspension will get a bit of attention too

Oh cool, does that mean you plan on making it into an AWD MR2?

Re: Alex's SW20
Some sexy looking wheels and tyres arrived today. They are a 17" staggered set running 8" on the front with 9" on the back.
Was totally surprised when I first drove it that they are quieter and more comfortable than the stock wheels/tyres.. Even though the new ones are not the best
Big difference
Old...
Now...
Definitely a massive improvement over stock!

Wheels are a huge improvement. Wheres the bloody like button? Lower it an inch and it'll look better still.

Re: Alex's SW20
Just a bit of an update:
This arrived
Took her to the panel beaters and got the left hand side below the black trim resprayed
Also got the Targa Rails done too... for free!
And spent ages cutting and polishing the tail lights... Came out nicely though. Don't look cloudy anymore
Pic doesn't do it justice

Use a hairdryer to heat up surface and see if you can carefully pry off. I'll bet its just an adhesive or double sided tape holding on. Looks very odd IMO.I honestly wouldn't have a clue. I've been too scared to take them off, I don't want the paint damaged ahah

Thanks! I just tried that and it worked perfectly, gave it a quick cut and polish and you'd never know anything was there lolUse a hairdryer to heat up surface and see if you can carefully pry off. I'll bet its just an adhesive or double sided tape holding on. Looks very odd IMO.
Yeah my speedo is now 6kmh out. Anyone know if that will cause an issue for a WOF?Wheels look great.. Just watch out with your speedo.. the rolling diameter seems a fair bit larger?
