We would if I wired that wire in.... That was the only wire I didn't connect when doing the swap however it's not too hard to find the right wires at the fuse box and set it going.
Or drain it from the tank if this GEN2 SW20 has a drain bung. This one should as they removed it from February 1993. This is a 1992.
Shaun and I pulled apart the 3SGTE we got from Mo yesterday. Took us about 2 and a half hours, including some tutoring by Shaun to teach me about certain areas. Felt like I learned quite a bit more about a motor, good to see it up close. I only ever disassembled a head on a blown 3SGE - never did anything with the block and pistons. Need to get the block inspected and honed by a professional, may also get them to move the crank and pistons from the cracked block into the good one, depending on the cost.

Further work done today by Phil and I with removing most of the things from the engine, only the exhaust, engine mount and axles and fuel lines are left then it can be dropped.

Project is again, on hold. I am looking to buy a house, and it must have a garage. Therefor, I am going to wait as APEXED is currently easily towable as the drivetrain is still in place.
This time, it's got to be done right. This is no off roader, yet it's never on the road. Having my own place, with my own garage right outside, will be massively beneficial.

Placed the cars rego on hold, can't have it becoming unregistered can we!
In the 5 years I've owned this car, I've never bothered to do much with the interior, I've always thought to myself I will get on with it when the car is running right... that may take a while. So I am going to start doing what I want to do to it in the mean time, I have the gear and the time, it doesn't need any money for what I want to do to it. I just want to make it a bit unique... still not 100% on what will be done, however to start with, I have purchased leather seats and door cards, so these will go in first. From there I will see what I have in my collection (from my past mr2s.. stripped out their interiors) and choose the best bits to go in.

I'd recommend installing a decent double DIN head unit with 7" touch screen. Can get Droid versions with Wifi that can load App's much like any phone and doesn't have to break the bank. Really changes the functionality and looks of the interior IMO. Especially good if you can pipe some engine instrument data onto screen which can be done a number of ways.
