The throttle cable should be pointing at where the cable contacts the round bit. All factory cars with a cable throttle are set up this way to stop the cable from fraying.

That bracket was made to get the car running and drivable. There is lots of fine tuning on the custom parts that needs doing.

Don't go custom unless you really need to otherwise this sort thing happens.

So since my speedo isn't working, decided to hurry up and take a look at changing my steering wheel. And boy I'm glad I did! After finally sourcing a boss kit with the correct hole for the horn connector that doubles as the indicator switch off switchy thingy, I chucked on a 280mm steering wheel. Boy is it way better to drive with it.

Possibly. The screws are usually countersunk ones, perhaps the wheel isn't countersunk, or if it is countersunk the screws are a bit big.

I have a Momo bosskit and I think the wheel is the same brand. I think mine is 300mm or 310mm, I've had a 280mm on it before and it was too small for my liking.

There's a cover for around the screws for the steering wheel which wouldn't work with the boss kit - the holes for the screws were too big for the ones that came with the steering wheel. As it is I had a hard time getting the boss kit screws through the steering wheel - actually rethreaded them all. They kind of squish the horn button plastic surround. Still better then the factory wheel

Should have drilled them, you don't want a screw to break because there's two sets of threads instead of one.

This damn car won't give me a freaking break!

Paul Walker memorial cruise last night, went from Porirua to Upper Hutt. Come around the Trentham bridge and temp gauge started to rise. FFS me thinks. Pull into Whakatiki Street and it's making a whistling sound. Turn car off and steam everywhere! Blown hose that comes off the thermostat and runs back to the radiator. GRRRRR!!!! Engine wasn't hot though, if anything it felt nice and cool (being that it was midnight and the outside temp was low). Had to get AA to tow me all the way back to Waikanae.

Will look at replacing the hose with a brand new piece (new clamps too). Weakest link found!

Can't be 100% sure where the leak is coming from now. Got it up to temp and bled it, no leak. Took it for a drive with a tow car following and got it to the lock up, didn't get hot, had a look and it's leaked more but it's just no clear where from. If it is from the hose it's not the hose itself but perhaps the clamps. Otherwise it could be turbo or thermostat housing. Will have to do further tests.

Getting leak checked out now, got a new BOV, turbo engine lid, AND finally after over 2 years of having these parts lying around

Can you tell me anything about that rear spoiler. That is after market. What's the make etc?
