Yes I did! Sorry for the delay... as you can tell I'm still useless at building this thread up even though that was the idea of doing a round 2 lol!

Not much has been going on... been too busy about this time of year, moved into my own place, got my Carib a huge makeover, Pajero getting the same thing atm. Running my own business and BP getting changes too. All that life related rubbish.

Mr2s leak remains impossible to find without a hoist and a long drive. We have a plan to take it on a good drive and then straight into a garage to see if we can find it. It may be a HFH or possibly a turbo line. Impossible to tell as it is.

Speedo is still playing up intermittently, however it sounds like GPS speedos are getting to the point of being acceptable for a wof, or rather my wof guy can help play dumb. As who really knows apart from the fact the speedo might randomly pulse or there's a delay. Got to look at the best option cost wise here, not wanting to rip it all apart again.

I think the speedo needs a full electronic OEM unit put into the box then plugged in. I think it still has the OEM plug that I wired in. I forget. Unless it has the triangle one in place.

Did you not do the HFH and HFHOE when you changed the turbo?

They were already done when the engine was out before it even went into this NA chassis.
I reckon it's from the turbo water cooling line based on the last time I saw the car and where the coolant was pooled under the car. He's had a mechanic look at it so the leak is just playing hard to get. It seems to be one of those typical heat expansion leaks where it only shows itself when the join it's leaking from expands and opens up enough to leak. Then it gets cold again and closes up so it hides.

I reckon it's coming from the connection 16027 on the turbo. Bottom left of the image.

If so that's a fairly easy place to repair. I may even have an OEM gasket from the kit I bought couple of years ago. If you need flick me your address and I'll send your way.

PM'ed, I have the feeling Phil could be on to something. I will print that diagram and take it with me once the cars up on the hoist.

Phil, do you have a better diagram of that gasket 16027 that you believe is at fault. I have a full gasket kit and will send Olaf the one he needs but am having problem trying to find correct one.

Looking at the information below it could be either one of those water line gaskets.

It's part number 16347-88380 and there are 2 of them. On for the coolant feed and return and one for the block off plate.

I don't seem to have those left in kit. I might have supplied with the CT20b that was on-sold a could years ago.

It might not even be those gaskets but from how far forward the leak coolant was from memory I can't see where else it could be.
I'm sure they can be had for cheap enough on their own from Toyota or another supplier.

I'll chuck an email to Mark and grab them, no doubt they are cheap

You might be able to import them from the UAE for much cheaper. They are less than $3 each plus shipping. https://www.amayama.com/en/search?q=16347-88380
That depends on the cost and how fast you can get them in from Mark.

Are you sure it's these? I haven't seen the car for years so I could be directing you to the wrong place. What was done to the CT20b when it was installed? Check with Russel on what gaskets were used or replaced.

No turbo gaskets were officially replaced, I believe he may have sealed it all himself but the only gaskets used were engine related ones. They are $10 from Mark so just gonna get it through him

That might be your leak either at the feed pipe or more likely the blacking plate on the back.
$10 isn't too bad. Make sure you get 2.

$19.80 cause I got the two, might as well even if they don't end up being the problem
