Hello

This is my '88 MR2. I have had it for just over 2 years. So far have only done the water pump and cambelt. Was losing water at the water pump when I bought it, but it made the drive from Ohoupo to Napier, didnt even miss a beat.

Picked up the white AW and had initially had intentions on repairing it. Instead it was sadly scraped. The engine was sold, the full mk1a interior was kept to swap out the ugly blue mk1b interior. The SC car is auto so all the manual parts were also kept for a manual conversion. I have read that the standard manual box can be mounted to the 4agze motor so I'm gonna give it a crack.
The doors were in excellent condition on the white car, so they are also going on the blue one.

The previous owner of the blue car had begun to rub the car down for painting, so it needs a respray. There is very little rust in this car, failed the warrant for the crossmember that supports the radiator, so the white car kindly donated a mint one of those. Amazingly, even though the front left impact bent both chassis rails, that part was unaffected.

I swapped the black interior out of my dead pre-facelift n.a. AW and into my midnight blue (facelift) supercharger too, because I couldn't stand the dark blue interior either. Do it, it works.

On another note, sort the thing out with a car port or something or it will rot and you'll end up with nothing.

The car lives in the double garage in the background. I wont drive it when its wet either. I was surprised how much rust was lurking on the smacked parts car, it looked mint except for the obvious accident damage. The parts car was an elderly ladys pride and joy. I think she T-boned someone at an intersection. Was a massive shame really.

I have already begun swapping the interior over. Found surface rust under the carpet, which I have addressed. Have some parts coming from twosRus to tidy up the targa panels with nice new uncracked black plastic. It is a good base for a project and apart from needing a paint job, it is relatively tidy, especially for the money I payed.
