Shout out to Jabeo for the front lip
Tried it out to make sure it clears the undertray
And got the turbo coolant lines finished. Still need to fix coolant tree and make the main coolant hoses

Re: Tom's GTLIMITED
I've been working on an RCA that drops the LCA by 38mm, and drops the tierod end almost the same
The tierod is flipped and moved closer toward the hub to maximise steering angle and minimise wheel rotation whilst staying on the same ackerman angle line
I got a prototype printed from plastic to do some test fitting
I was pleased with the fitment, but couldn't continue testing as it wasn't strong enough to handle the lock angle, so I went ahead and got it made from stainless steel
Very happy with the outcome so far
Through the bump steer test, the whole range of suspension travel (BC gold coilovers, set to lowest setting) the toe in changes were a total of 4mm
That's 70mm travel, with 2mm change at around the 57mm mark, and another 2 and full compression
My jig was not super accurate though, being made from wood
As my car does not currently run I will be testing the prototype on a couple of other members cars to see if it's actually reducing bumpsteer on extremely low two's
Even though its mainly the rear that needs attention
I made this to gain steering angle, by itself it adds roughly another 10Β° to the OEM lock, and the steering is slightly quicker but I'm not quite sure how to measure the difference
With my rack spacers of 6mm I have around 20Β° more lock than oem
Very happy with the results
If testing all goes to plan I'll be happy to sell these if there is enough interest
Ps. Link ECU has been ordered, hopefully wiring up this month then tune time

Got my loom and Ecu, and have been slowly working away at it.
Still so much to do but I'm very excited to see how this is going to turn out

Re: Tom's GTLIMITED
Great work there! I'm keen to try my hand at a full wire in ECU one day. Always keen to see what others are doing.
Of you need any more assistance on deciphering the OEM wiring and the GEN4 stuff, let me know.

Interested to see how you get on getting more down force, and keeping those temps down! I have nothing of importance to add, just think your engine looks f###ing mint and so does the zorst

Re: Tom's GTLIMITED
Cheers mate, it's all a wait and see scenario haha
Engine is all wired up (cannot thank Adam enough!) , and have started it
Think I still have a slight coolant leak, either that or there is air in the system
Just waiting on a new spring for the wastegate, and making a muffler for the screamer pipe so the tuner doesn't have to deal with that behind his head while listening to the knock headphones
I've raised the car about 20mm so it's easier to get on the rollers
Tune for the run in is 14th of April
Then I drive it for maybe a tank of gas, change the oil/filter/coolant etc
Then we go for the power tune
Wish me luck

Re: Tom's GTLIMITED
Hahaha yep it's back down now, had to get a wheel alignment and wanted that done at the correct height for sure will come up when things are sorted
So run in tune went well, very quick. Just have to put a few kms on it, and sort one issue
An issue I knew was going to come up, but was in denail about... High IAT's
So time to loose that trunk and go big Johnny I/C
I'll get this done, test drive/monitor. Coolant/oil change, then back on the dyno
Blocked off drivers side vent, which now feeds trunk
Passengers side vent will feed trunk and engine bay
Fans on underside, pull down

Re: Tom's GTLIMITED
It was a Friday, I just put rego on the car that morning and decided to take it to work
Anyway long story short I got a new bonnet and did a better job, let's be honest that v1 was uuuuuugly
And then could go for the tune
I made 409hp, and 407nm at 18psi
And 286hp at 10psi (gate spring pressure)
I'll have to post up dyno sheets at another time, they're away in a folder at home
Super happy, didn't expect such high numbers at under 20psi for what the build is. I'm about 1k over budget but that's okay
Still few issues to sort out but it drives, it pulls really hard and I can't wait to get back to the track with some better tyres
Paint coming in by Xmas hopefully
Big thanks to everyone getting me this far!

Looks good, excellent numbers. Now you need super sticky tyres to keep it going forward!
