Looks like you have your work cut out for you. Didn’t the heads cause some issues on dyno or was that timing belt related?

So the issue on the dyno was the Intake temps skyrocketing. Plus it wasn't seeing quite right. The tuner reckoned one or more of the intake valves weren't closing properly.

Could be due to the timing being out. When you rotate the crank by hand you can hear air coming o11ut the Intake on the compression stroke. Hopefully its just the timing. But heads gonna come off anyway as i wanna check eveything out and make sure it hasnt contacted. (Not sure if the new pistons are stil non interference)

I managed to fix everything. Car is mostly together and running a lot better now. Just need to bleed the coolant and put the front bumper back on. Then a re-tuned and she'll be good to go.

another update. I had the car back together and running. But still had issues so it's back apart again.

Turns out this happened somehow.

So I've fixed This, done more checks and now I'm waiting on some seals before I put it back together again. Hopefully this is the last time...

time for a little update, as a lot has happened since my last post.

i managed to sort out all my engine issues. got the car together and took it for a tune.

The MR2 made 243 KW on about 17PSI. Not bad for factory turbo and head. it does run into cooling issues as the W2A gets heak-soaked easily when you don't run ice.

I also finally got round to getting the car painted, the photos really don't do the colour justice. Cheers to Tom, aka tomnomnom. did a fantastic job.

the wheels on the car are off my caldina and are temporary while my 3-piece wheels are getting a freshen up. stay tuned for more pictures of the car once everything else is finished. :D

That looks really really good! You must show us the wheels on the car when they are done.

Is that flywheel, hub or wheel power? Either way it's decent power for an MR2.

Stunning colour and great power figures. Should be able to have a lot of fun with it - just in time for summer :D

Nice power. 242kw at the fly around 209-210 at the wheels unless you have the real data handy?

Not sure how the rolling road Dyno can measure Flywheel kw. So I'd assume it just goes off the 1-1 ratio of 4th and calls it Fw kw?

Paintjob looks fantastic. Sucks with all the issues though. Where did you get it painted?
