Very impressive work, glad to see you back on the road. Unlike you I've been a lazy sod with no improvements to speak of. Hardly drive the Mr2 anymore which is sad.

Nice work keeping with the ct20b. Curious why you went with the custom exhaust manifold? I always just bolted the ct20b up to the stock 2nd gen exhaust manifold.

Taken the car to the strip?

Cheers, Yeah the CT20b will mount perfectly to the stock manifold. But back when i was running the CT26 with a GFB boost controller i had issues with over-boosting when ever i tried to up the boost, in the end i figured it was the controller at fault not my setup. I decided that because in the future id want to turn the boost up a bit more the next setup would need to run an external waste gate.

The CT20b that i brought needed a rebuild and had previously had the waste gate welded shut anyways. I could have just made an adapter to sit between the turbo and manifold with the waste-gate there but realized that it would move the location of the turbo to much for my liking BUT.... Once i had started making the manifold it soon became apparent that keeping the turbo in the stock location wasn't gonna be do-able, so i did what i wanted to avoid and moved the position of the turbo sightly, a bit lower and abit closer to the rear fire wall.

So long story short.....i wanted to run an external wastegate

Yep i have been to the drags once, the start of last year, now legal i wanna go back, i was only getting lower/mid 14s, i believe my gearbox was holding me back being hard to get the gears nicely. so hopefully now i can get out of the 14s and down to the 13s. Fingers crossed!!!

Ouch that’s stock gen2 times. 201kW is 12s all day. Should be trapping 110mph+ at the end of the track.
