Many different, outstanding, understandable and confusing reasons. Also it was cheap, 600 buck

The car needs a lot of work, if it was going to be used as a daily and reliable vehicle. I'm not planning on doing that... because racecar

Today it overheated on the Wairarapa run, after some hard going. The radiator fans were not going. After letting it cool, it overheated even worse, as I suspected it was because it was missing water (took 6L including a full overflow after resting for another hour). We unplugged the radiator sensor so both fans are now just on all the time.

On the drive home to Wainui from Carterton, it sat on just below operating temperature basically the whole time, only increasing to normal operation temperation going up the Remutaka hill road and the Wanuiomata hill road. So the overheating saga has busted the thermostat. At the same time, just checking the water before after letting the car cool off, it's not used anymore water at all. May have had an airlock perhaps. Odd.

Just been driving her around, doing nothing to her really. Have stripped some bits out to have as spares or to put in APEXED

Putting her up for sale now. This is how she looks now.
