I have new locating pins for the E153 axle carrier, I'm putting another Amayama order soon so I can order another set.

Also consider DeatschWerks, I've heard they're quieter at the same flow.

+1!
My Walbro was only a few years old and died. (Which is pretty shit I feel!) Replaced with DW and it's been great. Certainly quieter than when it failed! But unsure how much quieter than a working one?

Link below on fuel pump comparisons which may be helpful. The DW isn't in the tests but you can certainly plug in the data to check against others.

Surprised the Walbro died on you after such a short time interval. Did you do a post mortem to understand why it failed?

One of the reasons I chose a Walbro was due to its reliability and very few examples of failures. Yes, it does whine a bit especially when tank is under 1/4 but using a rubber or neoprene sock does quiet it down.

I have read of both failing enough to be an issue and the thing that puts the Walbro in the maybe basket is the noise. Not that an MR2 is a quiet car anyway. If the fuel pump resistor system is removed, the pump sound will be more noticeable at lower RPM if it is spinning at full speed.

However at the price point vs the turbo OEM Denso unit from Toyota either pump is worth the money. Although having a pump die could be more expensive and an inconvenience than the OEM pumps that seem to last for 25+ years. You can pick up the Denso turbo pump from external suppliers for quite cheap however it's not comparable to the that of Walbro and DW pumps as shown in your link. They may not even be the same pump you are getting from Toyota.

My OEM pump lasted less than 100k which was understandable after I pulled it apart. It was not shimmed properly and the brushes were partially off compuntator causing it to bind.

Never looked into why. Still have it I think though? It was weird it just went noisy and had low pressure. Still spun. I figured because the car had Sat for a bit? Although the pump worked fine for a few months with regular use after sitting and before dying. Someone else told me they had a similar experience and recommended DW that's why I went with it. It's been about 3 years now and has more use than the Walbro. The biggest pain for me was dropping the tank again. Although that job is less of a pain now with a hoist :D

You can get in tank pumps that will support 500hp on pump fuel. If you are using E85 then possibly not. You'll need something bigger than the 255lph.

According to this the Walbro 255lph will support 500whp if you sort the wiring. https://www.nzefi.com/product/walbro-25 ... fuel-pump/
The DW200 should support the same.

Or you go to the bigger Walbro 400lph in tank for bigger power but not sure how well this would fit the oem hanger. https://www.nzefi.com/product/walbro-40 ... fuel-pump/

If you can avoid a surge tank system then I would. I don't think you'd run into issues unless you were really low on fuel in the tank.

Yeah if id goto the 400lph but in a Dw version that would be the one.

i am trying to avoid a surge tank. it will only see the track occassionaly for toyota fest or chrome. nothing competitive.

how are people installing new pumps in tank. reusing the old hanger or buying somtjing new with An fittings?

Cheers

Soara Manifold had been dropped with the shipping Company in the Ukraine.

T3 Turbo Flange, MVR Wastegate Vband. He has made this to flow well and told me to Relocate the oil filter.

He can make them so you keep the stock location but the flow will be affected.

Cant Wait for this to arrive.
