Rebuild the Ohlins! If you can. I think we can still get Bilstein but they are just very expensive vs what they used to be.
Yea, rebuilding is one of the option, has been quoted for $2.2k for it. I called Mark from Toyota earlier, they only have the front ones. I've also contacted Autolign and Shocks, Brakes N Tyres, they said they'll do some research to see whether they can get their hands on something.

See what replacements George Stocks in Auckland can supply. They're agents for KYB and Koni. Don't know if the club has a discount option with them.
See ya

Yea, George Stocks was one of the suppliers I've contacted as well for Koni as alternative. They only only have the rear Koni set and the front pre-order will take couples of months to come in. :( KYB was available but not preferred.

After some searching around, with none available locally, I ended up purchasing a set of B6 Bilsteins from PrimeMr2 in the States which cost me $1350nzd shipped.

And...
they showed up at my door steps yesterday and today! :D

From the moment I purchased it online to my door steps only took 8 days! Way faster than the months I need to wait if buying them locally through supplier  besides I don't have the patience.

now I just need to get them on the car! :D

Glad to hear they made the clunking go away. It will be interesting to see how the HD/B6 feel with standard REV3-5 springs.

The Ohlins are definitely in questionable condition and one seems to not want to compress all the way regardless of the rebound adjustment. Some won't even come back up on their own so will need rebuilt.

That's no fun.

Does it have a trickle charger on it? Also it's probably a bit old?

Luckily I did not get stranded in Kapiti over the weekend while trying out Transmission Gully. I think it's just old, its fully charged with 12.5v but does not want to crank at all, CCA is gone. Still good for lighting and stuff
