Re: Pureadrenalins Race MR2
Got the old girl out for another couple of street sprints over the last month.
Vid from a drone at TCC's Hurlstone Drive street sprint. Unfortunately I don't make an appearance.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zyCDUNa ... e=youtu.be
Followed by STCC's Stratford street sprint.
I even finally gave the MR2 a wash with the kids cleaning the wheels for me.
They were unimpressed with my efforts in the ditch messing up their hard work. Was a thrilling ride tho. There was a chicane positioned at this position, full throttle at ~45 degrees to the road, trying to pull it out of the ditch without loosing too much speed.
Unfortunately, I busted a CV joint on my last run on the start line launching the car, so home on the trailer.

Inner left hand side.
Lucky I've got a nice LSD so I could keep moving, and back it onto the trailer.

Re: Pureadrenalins Race MR2
As a matter of interest have you installed the heavy duty CV axle cages? If so, they have a lifetime warranty.

Re: Pureadrenalins Race MR2
Too bad I just sold my last axle cage upgrade kit a couple months ago. Imported 5 sets and held onto one in case someone required.
I have my old cages & bearings if you need something to get you by.
Comparison between OEM and HD.

Re: Pureadrenalins Race MR2
Quick update.
Had a weekend of racing in the Naki.
400m sprint on Saturday, Hill climb on Sunday.
Managed to drop my 400m time from 13.0 sec from two years ago to 12.3 sec this year. Well happy with that.
Hill climb was fantastic today. Was a very fast hill, with nice flowing corners. Took three different people for a spin in the passenger seat, and they are all amazed at how the car corners.
Finished second overall for the hill climb to the single seater by 3.5 sec. Very happy with that as well.

Re: Pureadrenalins Race MR2
It was a beautiful piece of road that really suited the car and my driving. Still fast enough to scare myself as well though. My speedo isn’t currently working, but I know if I’ve run out of rev’s in third, and have been foot flat in 4th for ~4 seconds, I’m traveling pretty quick.
Here’s a vid of one of the competitors. For reference, I'm about 15 seconds quicker than this car.

I like want you are doing! What horsepower are making ATW's and how's your torque curve? Can you put up your dyno sheet and also confirm the guts of your set up. eg trubo type, boost setting , after cooler specs
That would be interested to hear about.
