E153 gearbox seal kit. Part number 04331-17011.
Comes with everything you see in the second image. Much cheaper to buy the kit than just getting two individual axle seals on their own.

That’s good to know^^. Guessing most of other seals are used when complete rebuild is in order. Last time I bought axle seals the ‘small’end was a standard aftermarket part where the ‘big’ end was only available as OEM. Interested to hear what other seals you replace and what the kit costs?

Rubber tipped bolt. Part number 90119-10461. This bolt is to hold the axle carrier bearing in place to reduce vibrations. There is a snap ring that holds the bearing from moving left and right but this takes up the slack in the carrier itself.

Kit was $65 I think. Toyota sell it for a little bit more.
Yes the kit has all the internal seals, a new 5th gear nut and some gaskets. It has new crush washers for the filler and drain plugs and other parts like that. Well worth it even just for the external parts. Deciding if I take the box apart and get case vapour blasted then put it back together. Would be nice to get an LSD installed at the same time but not in the budget. Anyone got a TRD LSD cheap?

Gearbox shift lever bell crank bushes. Part number 90386-12022.

Helps keep the shift feel at the lever inside the car more crisp.

Oil drain hose from turbo to sump. Part number 15491-88480. Is it PNC 15474A in the second image.

So nice to have soft rubber hoses vs the hard 24 year old parts.

Coolant flow and return hoses for the turbo. Part numbers 16284-88481 for return and 16285-88480 for flow. The flow hose had been replaced on mine with a non OEM part so I had to replace it. 😂 The return line, well, while I'm in there, best replace it.

What we 3SGTE owners affectionately call the HFH hose from hell and the HFHOE hose from hell on earth.

The HFH is the coolant pipe part number 16282-88580 for the GEN4. This is located from the coolant bypass pipe to the oil cooler. Its the straight hose with the insulation on it. To install this, you slide it up onto the bypass pipe then back onto the oil cooler pipe. Then pull the pink hose clamp clips to release the clamp and make it hold.

The HFHOE, part number 16281-88460 on a GEN4 isn't as bad as the GEN2 as it doesn't connect to the back of the water pump, instead to the engine block. A lot less heat here as it's not under the turbo.

This hose joins from the coolant tree to the bypass pipe. Essentially creating a full recirculating coolant system for when the thermostat is closed. Part number 16261-88361.

Image 2 shows its location, image 3 shows how the coolant system flows through the engine. Water pump, block, head, coolant tree, this hose, then the bypass pipe back to the water pump. There are other routes for the coolant to take too but I won't cover that here.

Wow you have been busy. I also bought the full transmission seal kit to get the axle seals. I bought the official foam insulation kit for the walbro, no discernable sound.

I installed a rubber sleeve over my Walbro but it still likes to whine if I’m under 1/4 tank. Looked at those German pumps but found some sketchy info on failures I wasn’t happy about.

The HFH looks identical to the gen 3 hose. Handy to keep ahold of those clip holders for reinstalling spring clips on hard to reach places. Certainly saves the fingers!

Not finished yet!!

Yeah I'm just not keen on the Walbro. So went another way.
They've had to make an Official insulator kit because they know the product is substandard. Funny.

Hence why I'm not using the Walbro because of noise. Those German pumps are actually American but you know. Its just a name.

The GEN3 is quite similar to the GEN4 so it's probably the same part number.

This hose is one of the vacuum lines for the wastegate T-VSV (OEM boost controller). My one had gone rock hard and brittle so needed to be replaced. Yes, I could have used a generic vacuum hose but I prefer the OEM look. Plus it wasn't much to buy and it's the right length.

Part number is 90445-12303 which is actually a GEN5 3SGTE part as the original part number 90445-12297 is superseded as shown in the parts diagram.

New coolant filler neck hose. Part number 16262-70410. Mine is a little crusty so worth getting a new one. This joins the filler neck with the pressure cap to the coolant tree connection.
