2grfe workshop who can do swap into mr2?

hello everyone recently join forum, just bought a mr2 g limited manual, for small amount of price, car will be more for drag and street can't decide between following engine to be build by a experienced Toyota specialist in NZ 2grfe, 2azfe, or the altezza beam keep in mind am looking for 400kw @wheels minimum so look like aftermarket internals? anyone know or can recommend a workshop who have experience in the above engines and also swap? will go boosted in either of the engines since all 3 motors are vvti cars drivability on street will be awesome...... Would gladly appreciate info on who you guys recommend cheers guys.

2GR-FE is the only engine on your list that is appropriate.

What's your budget? Assuming here that you realise that a 2GR-FE half cut/donor car + new Toyota E153 transmission will be $10,000 before you even turn a spanner.

Thanks for replies, will be going 2grfe after all. Have 40k to spare just for engine alone with tubos aftermarket ecu and fuel system, expensive but still cheaper than gtr build, so any info on workshop who are specialists or experienced on 2grfe build?

For the build of the engine I couldn't say but a reputable engine builder should be able to do what you want. There is someone in Auckland with a 700hp turbo 2GR in an MR2 that you could contact to see who he got to do the work. At least you have a sensible budget for doing it.

As for doing the swap, you've probably seen the parts available from the USA from Marc and Alex for doing this swap to make it bolt in. Obviously being turbo there is some one off custom work involved for this project. DIY doing the swap is going to be far cheaper, then take it to a shop to fit the exhaust and turbo.

By the way, if you do not have an engine and other bits and pieces, let me know as I have a complete NA engine with all sorts of parts to go with it including the engine mounting from Marc. I could do a package deal for you. The engine will come with the engine loom and the OEM ECU which has been hacked and the rpm has been raised to 7200, courtesy of Frankenstein Motorworks US. Thanks for more info's, already have a complete toyota aurion that's still on the road so it's going to be the engine from it going into mr2, but can you get give more info with the 700 hp mr2 guy in Auckland? Cheers
