I'm sorry but I can't afford to do this one. Rebuilding Isaac's motor for his AW at the mo and expecting to sink about another $2,400 into it in the next month or so which is leaving us kinda tight. I'd dearly love to get down there and see Napier but at the moment we're on a mission to resurrect a classic old MR2, one that's been languishing far too long... I owe it to Isaac to get it sorted for summer eh.

Sure hope you guys all have an AWesome time though. Looks like you'll have a good wee gathering - oughtta be a great weekend!

I will attend, just got to sort accommodation and a passenger. We will need to be leaving palmy or north wairarapa by 1030 or so that Saturday. Will look at more precise details soon but perhaps meeting in Levin and then woodville?

Hi Everyone

I mentioned a location change earlier.
Here it is, i'm no computer wiz and couldn't find out how to use google maps to show directions.
So here are some photos i have taken which might help identify how to get there, it is like a 30 second drive from mitre10 mega so its not to bad.

In behind Workforce NZ/Fusion joinery (the green building in the photo) is a big empty car park where ive had a few photos done, thought it would be better than a busy public car park.
Fingers crossed the weather puts on a show!

I also have a photographer coming, said he has an old Minolta film camera for some 'era correct' shots

Hi from the Manawatu.
To hell with the expense, Sue and I will be there. I was a bit unsure that we could make it after the demise of our Supercharger. We might have to bring the silver bullet.
I will try to stir up the rest of the Manawatu guys ( all three of them). I might have to start ringing round. No-one around here seems able to use the internet.

Me and Keith have to finalise the route but we might even go through Makomako rd and come out and meet Wairarapa guys at Pahiatua, So we'll need to leave relatively early. I may even be starting in the hutt and so I may just go through the Wairarapa to begin with. I'll go through the route with Gary and Keith and try and sort out some concrete times

I'm coming up from Masterton, Olaf you can call in at home for a coffee on the way, Keith if you come over the Pahiatua Track suggest we meet in Pahiatua, there is a back road we can take up to Dannevirke that starts before Woodville. Only about an hour and a half to Napier from Pahiatua. Meeting in Napier is at 2pm so if we leave Pahiatua about 10.30ish we will have plenty of time for stops, lunch, mini golf, etc.
Might be worth starting a thread for Lower North Island so we are all on the same page ... cheers Gary

I've booked into the Blue Water Hotel in Napier for the night of the 28th

So.....
We will meet the Wairarapa guys at Pahiatua, by the plane.
We will be leaving Otaki about 9:15 and travel up through Shannon and Aokoutere then via the Pahiatua Track to Pahiatua. If anyone from Palmy or other parts of Manawatu wants to join us just let me know either by pm or phone / text me on 021 820 023 or Sue on 027 364 5549. I would suggest meeting us either in Shannon, or opposite the I.P.U., or at the bottom of the Track. Just give us a time and place and we will be sure to catch up.

Oh I'm getting so damned jealous! You lot are gonna have a blast!

And I do need to apologise - I've not managed to get the new banners on the courier yet so maybe you can all bring your old ones to Napier (AC's) and get a group shot (of everyone) with as many of the old style banners as you can muster? Give them a last hurrah... Cos it's sure shaping up to be an epic run!
